This authentic jade, diamond and enamel Faberge dip pen is rendered in 14K yellow gold, made by Henrik Wigstrom (1862-1923). The handle is adorned with white and golden enameled and the body is crafted in jade. Further enhanced by 42 rose-cut diamonds weighing approx. 0.42ct, this elegant pen is marked with Russian hallmarks '56' and signed H.W. The pen weighs 21.38 grams and measures 18cm (7 inches) long, in original Faberge box.
Henrik Wigstrom (1862-1923), a Swedish silver & goldsmith, was one of the most important Fabergé workmasters. He became head workmaster upon Michael Perchin's death in 1903, thereby assuming responsibility for the imperial Easter eggs. Wigström's style is characterized by echoes of the Louis XVI and Empire (style) periods.
